IL Rte 17/94 Recreational Trail

Hutchison Engineering, Inc. (HEI) was selected by the City of Aledo to provide preliminary and construction engineering services including preparation of a project development report, plans, specifications, estimates and full construction oversight for the construction of a recreational trail along IL Rte. 17/94 This 0.5 mile project consists of constructing curb & gutter, corresponding storm sewer system, 10’ wide concrete recreational trail, segmental concrete block wall, fencing and earthwork. The project was funded with federal ITEP funds which required additional coordination with IDOT and FHWA. HEI was instrumental in assisting the City to receive the ITEP funds during the 2014 selection cycle. HEI developed a Master Trail plan for the City, developed detailed cost estimates and was responsible for the write-ups and submittal of the successful application. Construction of this $700,000 project is scheduled to be completed in 2017.
