Featured Project
Hutchison Engineering, Inc. (HEI) provided boundary and topographical surveying, permitting, design engineering and construction testing services for the development of a 136 acre site used for a new handling grain facility. Proposed improvements include site development, utility extensions, widening IL Rte. 267 and adding traffic signals to the Comfort Dr. intersection for the Village of South Jacksonville, for a grain facility with 2 million a bushels of storage and 6,500 feet of loop track connecting to the Kansas City Southern Railroad to the site. The project required a substantial amount of coordination with the Illinois Department of Transportation, the Village of South Jacksonville and Bartlett Grain due to the funding and jurisdiction. HEI's ability to coordinate a large project such as this will be a vital part of the proposed Visitor, Training and Research Facility. Construction of this $26 million project was completed in 2013.
