Featured Project
Hutchison Engineering was selected by Fulton County to perform construction engineering services for the replacement of an existing wooden structure, over the BNSF railroad, with a new three span PCC deck beam structure. This project consisted of removal of the existing structure, construction of two piers and two abutments, PCC deck beams with a 5'' concrete wearing surface, along with parapet wall. The project also included 30,000 cubic yards of embankment, aggregate base, A-3 surface treatment, and guardrail. HEI handled all the Resident Engineering duties for the project including daily coordination with the BNSF railroad, documentation of quantities, material testing and certification. Contractor coordination allowed this project to be completed in one construction season, well ahead of schedule.
