IL Rte 336 Macomb Bypass

Hutchison Engineering, Inc. (HEI) was selected by the Illinois Department of Transportation - District 4 to provide preliminary engineering services including preparation of plans, specifications and estimates for the IL. Rte. 336 project which is commonly known as the Northwest Macomb Bypass. The project will extend IL 336 approximately 6.0 miles around the northwest side of Macomb and intersect US 67 approximately 2.0 miles north of Macomb. The project is being constructed as an access controlled expressway. The major components of the project include 6.0 miles of full depth pavement, 2 expressway interchanges, 15 new structures and an extensive grading plan including over 3,000,000 cubic yards of earth excavation. Construction of this $100 million project was split into separate contracts for grading, structures and paving. The work is scheduled for completion in 2017.
