Hutchison Engineering, Inc. (HEI) was selected to provide Phase I, Phase II and Phase III engineering services for the rehabilitation of the Rushville Downtown Square which consisted of predominately brick streets. The project included evaluation of different brick pavement structures and design of the historic downtown square. The completed Phase I project development report included Environmental Documentation/Coordination, public involvement and coordination with the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency as well as local historic groups. Phase II engineering included brick pavement reconstruction design, roadway plans, drainage, lighting, water mains and streetscape plan development. HEI was also responsible for Contract Administration and Construction Observation during construction. Construction of this $2 million project was completed in 2011.
