Main St Emergency Repair - Beardstown, IL

Hutchison Engineering, Inc. (HEI) provided engineering services for the emergency repair of Main St. from State St. to Edwards St. in Beardstown. Main St. pavements were collapsing due to the undermining of the pavement caused by groundwater infiltration at the sewer/manhole connection joints. The project included the removal of existing pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalk, storm sewers and manholes. The project aslo included the installation of cured in place pipe lining, new portland cement concrete pavement, new curb and gutter, new sidewalks with ADA compliant raps, new storm sewer, water mains and appurtenances, new entrances, utility adjustments, new pavement markings and associated work. Construction of this $2.5 million project was completed in 2017.
